What's a Commercial Headshot?
Commercial headshots are used to submit you to castings for advertising work (tv commercials, print ads etc). Because companies generally want to depict people happy with their product or service, it helps for your commercial headshots to lean towards a bright, warm and friendly feel. Whereas
theatrical headshots are wide-ranging, the term "commercial headshot" is more narrow by more specifically aiming to present an approachable, relatable and/or trustworthy persona. If you have an infectious smile, featuring it in some shots is a plus. Commercials are varied in tone with many ad spots relying on sarcastic humor and wit to keep audiences engaged, so if you have it in you, consider having some headshots show a hint of that. These headshots can often serve a dual-purpose for theatrical castings too when the call is for a warm and friendly character or for comedic theatrical roles.

I loved working with Oscar! He made taking headshots so fun and the results were absolutely amazing! Would 10/10 go shoot again.
Oscar, I've already booked 3 jobs: a short web episode, a medical print ad, and currently going to be one of the leads in an indie short film shooting next month! Your awesome headshots helped me land these jobs so just wanted to thank you again!
